Successful 1st Annual TARGET Symposium!

The Sterling Institute hosted the 1st Annual TARGET Symposium on April 11. Thirty-six delegates from nine independent schools, one Ontario university, and one catholic school attended this celebration of action research. Such topics as a gap analysis of OSSLT results, test anxiety in physics classes, sleep patterns of high school girls, community service completion rates, mindulfness, and deciding upon the most appropriate tech tools were presented in a poster format. Fifteen other studies currently being completed were shared in round-table discussions.

Delegates also enjoyed a keynote from researcher Dr. Shelley Stagg Peterson from OISE entitled "Teachers Learning Together Through Action Research."

TARGET and The Sterling Institute would like to congratulate all 2010/2011 action researchers for their hard work and dedication to the field of education.
